{Recipe} Banana Bread


Today I want to share one of the best recipes I’ve come up with in a while. I had never had banana bread. I had heard of it, but never tried.

A few months ago I saw a really quick and easy recipe in a vlog on Youtube. I tried it on the same day. =) And I’ve baked it 6 or 7 times since, tweaking the recipe and amounts every time. My boyfriend even found a silicone-ish baking dish – in pink! – that I now use and make it perfect. =)

This is a great dessert, but it’s also amazing to eat as breakfast, with a hot cup of coffee or chai tea latte. Seriously. You could also make several batches, cut in servings, freeze and you could have a perfect sweet – but not too sweet – treat at hand, whenever you want it. {Just put the slice in the oven for a few minutes}

It is best to use really ripe bananas, but this last time I used bananas that I would still eat {I can’t eat really ripe fruit}, and it turned out great too.

So, on to the recipe.


– 3 large bananas
– 1/3 cup melted butter
– 3/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– pinch of salt
– 1 teaspoon of baking soda
– 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon



– Mash the bananas before peeling them (1). I find it a lot easier to do like this, and quicker too! Combine the mashed bananas with the vanilla extract, using a whisk or a spatula (2,3,4)


– Add the sugar, baking soda, egg, butter and salt (5). Combine all the ingredients (6). Add the flour and combine (7). Add the cinnamon and combine (8).

– The batter is ready (9). Pour the mix on a loaf pan or similar (10). Place in the oven at 390F (200ÂșC) for about 50 minutes or until golden on top.


This is a really great recipe, that make the best banana bread. I’m not kidding. I’m bragging and I don’t usually brag. It’s THAT good. And isn’t that a pretty bread? =)

If you like banana bread, you need to try this recipe. I believe the cinnamon makes the difference – even though you don’t actually taste it clearly. You’ll have to believe me and try it!
