Yesterday the TV show “Touch” premiered in Portugal. We had a lot of ads going on for the past few weeks so I went online to check for reviews and more info, and I was really excited to see how they would put the show together.
Basically, if you haven’t heard about this show before, it’s the new TV show with Kiefer Sutherland – an actor I love – and the plot can be resumed with these two sentences: “Martin Bohm is a widower and single father who is haunted by an inability to connect to his emotionally challenged 11-year-old son Jake. But when Martin discovers that Jake can predict events before they happen, everything changes”.
“Emotionally challenged” immediately calls for some kind of autism spectrum disorder and, as a Special Education professional, I wanted to see that. And after watching the first episode, I gotta say, I’m hooked! I loved the plot, I loved the cast and specially, the kid who plays Jake, wow! Amazing job! I’m really looking forward to see the development of this show, and I hope they keep up the quality. So far, it’s an amazing way to spend our Tuesday nights. =)
