And the day is here! I’m 28! Wow. No, I’m not. I’m 11 or 12. I can’t be 28, even though it’s been 10 years since I finished high school… It’s un-freakin-believable how fast time runs by. Oh well, we all grow up eventually, right?
Today I get to spend some time with my mom, which is awesome! She’s coming to Lisbon to spend the day, and even if it’s only for less than 12 hours, it’s really cool. And I have great plans eheh =) I would love to get to spend the day with all my family and friends, but as that’s quite impossible, having my mom with me is the next best thing. 😉 I still don’t know what I’ll be doing with my friends, but as it will only happen on the weekend, I still have some days to figure it out.
Overall, this is a strange day. For the first time in my life, I’ll be celebrating my birthday while being on somewhat of a limbo. I’m unemployed, wanting and searching for jobs in the US… maybe my 28th year of existence is the year of change? Certainly hope so. I’m doing my part, now the universe has to do theirs. =)
My grandma’s sister baked a cake for my birthday and I wanted to share some pics of it. It’s so cute and lovely, and in a few hours I’ll see if it tastes good too eheh
The music that’s playing (hope the player works) is Florence and The Machine’s Dog Days Are Over, and I have that in loop while I’m writing this. It’s a happy song, that always makes me feel good. =) And I wanted you to hear it while reading this post. =)
I wasn’t able to watch all of Emily’s videos until today (I still have about 80 left), but I’ve enjoyed so much watching the other 630, I’m sure I’ll watch the rest in just a couple more days. I’ll probably post a full birthday challenge review after that. =)
So, now I’ll be off celebrating my day. =) And here’s to hoping that in a year I’ll have so many more great news to be sharing on my 29th!
Have a great June 5th, everyone!!
