I have discovered my favorite flavor for a granita. =) Plum!
It’s not that typical fruit for ice creams and desserts but I bought a lot a few days ago and didn’t want to waste any, so I tried to use it in a granita. And, I have to say, it is the best so far!
It’s really easy, as the other ones I made (check the bottom of the post for links) but with this one I had to make some changes. To the plums in the food processor (about three cups), I added a cup of soy milk and about two tablespoons of honey. As you know plums can be a bit tart-y and you may need to taste as you mix all things together.
Then put in the freezer for a couple of hours until completely frozen and just take it out 10/15 minutes in advance of serving it. It’s really great!
