Today I (re)discovered this amazing app. I had this downloaded on my iPad for some months but I thought, somehow, that it would only work with a Nike+ device. Wrong.
The Nike Training Club is actually an amazing free workout app. You create an account if you want – to sync all your info between devices and the website – and you can choose between more than 85 workout! And I have to say, these workout are AMAZING! You will really feel like you’re doing something, opposed to some workout apps that you just feel like you’re mimicking movements without a purpose.
As I said, this is a free app, built for iPhone or iPod but also downloadable to your iPad, and you have 4 types of routines to choose from: Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong, Get Focused. Inside all these categories, you have three levels, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Every workout has lots and lots of exercises, with videos explaining how to do them. I really advise you to watch the videos before starting the workout, so you don’t have to stop every time you move on to a different exercise.
This has really good routines even for those of you that are advanced users.
With every routine you finish, you’ll earn rewards, and this can be exclusive routines or advice from personal trainers. The result page is really cool and actually motivates you. =) Also, you can use the music library on the iPhone and it will play throughout the workout.
I did the Get Lean, Beginner, Sweat+Shape 30 minute workout and… wow. I was beat! =) Really good app, and free!
