I’m back! Updates on my life

I'm back! Updates on my life | by http://www.SomethingOnEverything.com

Hi everyone!

I missed this. I love my blog and everything internet/social media related. I haven’t even been keeping up with my fellow bloggers’ posts. Need to change that asap.

I’m currently on Easter break from work and will get back to it next Tuesday. Before my accident – read this if you don’t know what I’m talking about – I was excited for this Easter break. I was hoping to do a lot of pending work at home and here in my blog and try to enjoy a bit of down time with my boyfriend and friends.

I’m not catholic, I’m not even religious, but one sentence keeps popping up in my mind: “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans”.

Instead of all the plans I had, we spent the entire week juggling only one car and browsing online and visiting several car stands. Fun. Specially fun when you find yourself in front of a seller that is clearly trying to trick you into buying a useless and unsafe car like we did on Monday.

Or finding that cars in the range of what you’re looking for are currently selling for almost double the amount of what you want to spend, like we did on Tuesday.

Or going for a test drive and having the rear view mirror slamming into the floor in the first few meters of the test drive, like we did on Wednesday.

Or taking a car for a checkup in an car shop and finding out that it needs thousands of Euros in repairs, like we did today.

Fun.

And now I’m basically back to square one. I won’t have a car next Tuesday when I go back to work. At this point, I’m not even sure of how long it will go until I find one.

But I will.

Actually, the Portuguese Government is doing something that is – pardon my French – stupid and idiotic. Starting today, the Portuguese Government will be making weekly giveaways, and everyone that asks for a receipt with their TaxId is eligible to win. And what can they win, you might be wondering? Cars. Audi A4 and Audi A6, to be exact. Cars that, in Portugal, start at 37.500€ ($51.800) and 45.000€ ($63.000). They will be giving away one each week and three extras every semester. Yes, we’re still in economic recession and we’re still under the IMF program. But I guess we’re rich enough to give away a couple of millions every year in cars. That makes sense. I have 7 entries for tonight’s giveaway so, if I win one, my problem is solved. {I’m not gonna win it; everyone here is pretty sure this is rigged… oh well.}

To celebrate my return to blogging, I am posting twice today. =) After this update I’m going to post a quick review on a product that I’m loving =)

See ya later, alligator!
