I don’t believe in coincidences

Everything happens for a reason. At least I believe in that. Not a God-related reason (those of you following this blog know what I feel about all that), but just a reason. I don’t like to call it destiny, because destiny is usually denoted as a rigid fate, that no matter what you do, you’ll go through what’s already been determined.

No, I believe that all of us have a lot of paths that we can take, and that, for some reason, on a given time and space, you’ll do something or something will happen that will help you choose the path to continue in.

Confusing? Maybe. In my mind it totally makes sense. Just let me give you an example that happened lately. If I didn’t think of doing the birthday surprise to my sister, I wouldn’t have known Emily’s Beauty Broadcast channel and I wouldn’t have been able to do some things that I’ve done in the past month. And also, I wouldn’t have written yesterday’s post and, for the first time since I started this blog, have more than 1700 unique visitors in a day. That I owe to Emily and the Beauty Broadcast subscribers.
You guys rock!

I do believe, with all my heart, that we get what we give. And that we only get what we work for. If we don’t work for something, we aren’t gonna get it, for sure.

That’s what I’ve been working for. When I’m doing something, I’m doing it at 100%. Or I’m not doing it at all.

So, to finish this ramble-y post, I’ll leave you with what I’m doing today. =) Gonna watch Portugal in the Euro quarter-finals.
And then, continue the quest to bake the perfect rainbow cake for Saturday.
