How to make your own pore strips. Genius. Really.

If you’re like me, you like using pore strips. It’s fast and gives you that funny feeling of actually being effective while cleaning your skin.

Today I was looking online for good pore strips brands and came across one video that is pure genius. The girl in the video is called Michelle Phan and she shows a way to mimic the effect of a pore strip at home using just two ingredients: unflavored gelatin and milk! In 5 minutes I was trying this out and I am now amazed.

The way you do it is: put one tablespoon of gelatin and one tablespoon of milk together in a microwave friendly container and lix it together. Put in the microwave for 10 seconds and let it cool a bit. She applied it with a brush but I applied with my finger and I think it’s easier. Then you let it dry completely and peel off like a normal strip or peel off mascara. You can use this on whatever part of your skin that you need deep cleaning. =)

I hated the smell of the concoction so I added two drops of lavender oil and it’s better now. =) Oh, and it looks kinda funny, but well, you’re not going out while wearing this, so no problem, right?

This really works. And it’s so easy and inexpensive! Check out the original recipe below on Michelle’s video! Thank you Michelle!
