Homemade Lemon Curd Recipe
Easy recipe to make a delicious lemon curd. Double or triple for a big batch to give as gifts on a special occasion! Think Christmas!
  • 6 lemons
  • 6 eggs
  • 2⅓ cups of sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  1. Zest all the lemons and then juice them.
  2. Add the sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and butter to a saucepan.
  3. Gently mix them together on medium heat until combined.
  4. While the ingredients and heating up, beat the eggs in a bowl. Make sure to beat them well!
  5. Take the saucepan from the heat and add the eggs, stirring nonstop.
  6. Take it back to medium-low heat and let it boil, stirring gently.
  7. The lemon curd is ready when it coats the back of your spoon.
  8. Fill the jars immediately, put the lid on (make sure it's secure) and flip them over to create a vacuum seal while cooling down (optional).
