I’m not someone that has a manicure (done by a professional) every couple of weeks but I’ve done quite a few and I even used gel nails for a few months two years ago. Back in December, I had the absolute best experience and I now have really high standards in what comes to a good manicure.
One of my mom’s friend has a friend – Irina – that is a professional esthetician and she started by doing my mom’s nails. She loved it and booked an appointment for me while I was in town for Christmas. I have to say – I had never even seen some of the utensils she used. And I have never had my nails looking as good, strong and well taken care of.
She has a technique that I have never seen before and she’s an artist in nail art. Really. I’m not as adventurous as my mom’s friend but I loved my nails, both times that Irina did them.
If you live in or near Lagoa (Algarve, Portugal) and you want your nails to look the best they can, just contact her. She doesn’t speak portuguese but she speaks english and my mom’s friend usually goes with her whenever there’s the need to translate. Check her facebook page and bookmark it. Send her a message, book an appointment and you’ll love how your nails will look and feel!
Check out my nails =)
And this is how you know you had a really good manicure: even after the nail polish chips, you’ll have an amazing base for whatever nail polish you want to use. My cuticles are usually all over the place but since I had this manicure, they’re really tamed and pretty.
This nail polish by Sally Hansen is my currently obsession. It was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend and I love how it looks. Also, it maintains the quality that we’ve come to expect of Sally Hansen’s nail polishes (at least from the complete salon manicure line).
The nail polish is a pretty light pink and it’s the 160 – Shell We Dance.
So, what is your current favorite nail polish? And what was your favorite manicure experience so far? Let me know in the comments section.
See you tomorrow!
